Over the past few months we have been releasing a series of new filter coffees. From expressive florals to vibrant fruit notes, it has been an exciting season of sharing coffees that we truly love.

But coffee for us has never only been about filter.

Espresso has always been part of our daily rhythm, the steady constant behind the bar. The cup many of us begin our mornings with. The coffee that becomes the foundation for conversations throughout the day.

So we wanted to turn our attention to something just as important.

A new espresso blend that we are genuinely excited about.

Introducing Inheritance.

This blend brings together two coffees that complement each other beautifully. A natural anaerobic Brazil and a washed Ethiopia. One provides body and sweetness, while the other lifts the cup with aromatics and brightness.

The result is a cup that feels both comforting and expressive.

Expect notes of blueberries and red apples at first sip. As the cup opens up, the sweetness deepens into chocolate pudding with gentle jasmine florals lingering in the finish.

It is balanced enough to pair beautifully with milk, yet layered enough to enjoy as a straight espresso.

The name Inheritance carries a meaning that is deeper than coffee.

In the Christian faith, inheritance is often spoken of as something given, not earned. A gift passed down out of love. Something that shapes who we are and where we are going.

In the same way, coffee itself is something we receive from many hands before us. Farmers who care for the land. Producers who refine their craft. Roasters who learn through years of trial and patience. Baristas who share the cup with others.

Every coffee we drink carries a story that was handed down.

Inheritance is our small reflection on that idea. The work, knowledge, and relationships that continue to shape what Prodigal Roasters is today.

A blend that honours what we have received, and what we hope to continue sharing.
