Ten Years In

Looking back with gratitude and stepping into 2026 together

The team at Prodigal would like to wish you a happy and blessed 2026!

We had an incredible 2025, with record sales across the board. Thousands of coffee bags, hundreds of drip bags, and plenty of coffee accessories made their way into your homes. We are truly proud and deeply grateful. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for trying our coffee and for continuing to support us. We would never be here without you.

2026 marks a big milestone for us. Prodigal turns 10.

For those who have followed us since our very first shop opening in Ang Mo Kio all the way to where we are today, we are incredibly thankful. It all started with a simple love for roasting coffee. Along the way, we grew into a few locations. The unforgettable Macpherson branch Prodigal Cafe, Gather The Misfits where we had some of the most fun roasting coffee and serving sourdough pizzas, the rollercoaster ride of Lowercase Cafe where we built a strong community even though it did not make sense financially, and finally Ought at Peace Centre. A small and humble shop that taught us to focus on what we are truly good at.

2024 was the year we started our space in Jalan Kukoh, a neighbourhood I often call the ghetto of Singapore. It is now home to our roastery as well as our pottery studio. This space supported our vision of farm to table. We source our coffee, roast it, and serve it in cups that we make ourselves in the studio.

2025 brought many highlights. We introduced Cocinare kettles and the Solo Dripper, and the response was incredibly encouraging. We were also the first to bring these products into Singapore. Beyond that, we took part in Singapore Coffee Week and the Singapore Clay Festival. What stood out most was that we were at Singapore Coffee Week not for coffee, but to run pottery workshops, while also being the first to introduce coffee at the Clay Festival. This crossover meant a lot to us, and we are extremely proud of it.

Last year was also when we started this newsletter. Today, more than 700 of you consistently follow along. Thank you for sticking by us and supporting this space. This year, we plan to write more. Not just about the coffee we sell, but also brew guides, product features we love that may not even be coffee related, Spotify playlists, and cafe recommendations when you travel. We hope this newsletter becomes something you look forward to reading every week. A small piece of lifestyle content to slow down with.

Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts. The team at Prodigal Roasters will continue to learn, grow, and hopefully deliver you coffee that you truly enjoy.

We look forward to sharing more with you in the next newsletter.

With love,
The folks at Prodigal
